Italian football league was founded in 2008 taking over national football league Italy’s significance. Basically, Italian football league is the name of the most important American football league in Italy and the numbers of teams that it includes are ten. The most recent champions of this league are Bergamo lions. The ten teams of the Italian football league are Ancona dolphins, Bergamo lions, bologna doves, bologna warriors, Bolzano giants, Catania elephants, Lazio marines, Milano rhinos, Parma panthers and Reggio Emilia hogs.

The Italian football league brings together the clubs of the championship racing series (A) which is a top division of American football in Italy. The Italian football league comes alive in second half of 2007 under the pressure of the leading football to develop an autonomous and democratically organized long term project with an ability to achieve it with the following goals; the first goal is to play activities within an organization affiliated with the federal CONI. The second goal is to raise the standard and quality of the organization and management while focusing on the logical network. Now, coming towards the third goal, it is meant to increase the quality more and more with the technical rate of play.

Moving forward towards the other goals, the next goal tells to represent realities that can play a leading role in the international era by raising the value and prestige in the aspect of Italian football in Europe. The other goal directly focuses on entertainment and services in order to attract more audience during the league games. One of the goals signifies football to promote youth development with targeted policies. Out of all the teams, Bergamo lions are one of the semi professional American football team from Italy.

They have won the euro bowl in 2000, 2001 and 2002 but did not won in the finals of 2004 and 2005 losing to the Chrysler Vikings. While in 1995, the Bergamo lions became a part of the European football league. Well, almost all Italian born players are unpaid. One of the examples is former Kansas City chiefs and Toronto Argonauts wide receiver Jeris McIntyre.

The championships that the lions have played are 12 super bowl italiano in 1993, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 with 3 euro bowl in 2000, 2001 and 2002 also 1 championships league 2000. The other team Parma panthers is also an American football team that is based in Parma, Italy. The team reached the Italian super bowl for the first time ever in 2006.

On the other hand, the team reached the XXVll super bowl in 2007, losing against the Bergamo lions. On 28 October, 2009 it was also reported that Italy's Series A, which was once known to be the world's most exciting football league, is in a state of crisis. It was found that the stadiums are outdated with an unmatched attendance that is decreased sharply with extreme acts of violence are on the rise.

But now Juventus, the club that triggered a referee-manipulation scandal three years ago, is leading a movement for change. In the golden age of yore, series (A) football has always been remarkable for years but today one of the most exciting leagues is in shambles. Actually, the biggest problem of the league was the extreme violence of rival gangs of hooligans mostly fighting during the game days whether with each other or security personnel.

The same way, Italian stadiums are also completely lacking lots of amenities while the arena in UK and Germany have been established and upgraded into football shopping centers. Therefore, these are the main problems of league that have to given a lot of consideration.
